CURRA HALL CHRISTMAS PARTY 2025

CURRA HALL CHRISTMAS PARTY 2025

CURRA HALL CHRISTMAS PARTY 2025

UNFORTUNATELY, WE REGRET TO ADVISE THAT WE ARE NOT ABLE TO HOST THE CHRISTMAS PARTY THIS YEAR.

YOU MAY RECALL THE HUGE ARTISAN CRAFT MARKET AND FUN DAY WE RAN IN AUGUST.  IT WAS A GREAT SUCCESS!

HOWEVER, AFTER ALL THE WORK THAT WENT INTO MAKING THAT EVENT HAPPEN THE COMMITTEE WAS EXHAUSTED AND SADLY WE DO NOT HAVE THE PHYSICAL RESOURCES TO ORGANIZE ANOTHER LARGE EVENT SO SOON

.

WE WOULD LOVE TO - BUT THE COMMITTEE AND OUR VOLUNTEERS HAVE ONLY SO MUCH ENERGY.

THE HALL COMMITTEE IS ONLY 7 PEOPLE AND MANY ARE SENIORS.

IF YOU ENJOY COMING TO THE COMMUNITY FUN DAYS, MAYBE YOU WOULD CONSIDER JOINING US AS A VOLUNTEER SO THE HALL COMMITTEE CAN CONTINUE GIVING BACK TO THE CURRA COMMUNITY.

PLEASE CONTACT ANY OF OUR COMMITTEE MEMBERS TO REGISTER YOUR INTEREST.

Contact details further down this page.

WE HOPE TO DO SOMETHING IN EARLY 2026, MAYBE AN EASTER FUNCTION?

KEEP AN EYE OUT FOR FURTHER NEWS SOON.

MOWING AT THE HALL

CURRA HALL CHRISTMAS PARTY 2025

CURRA HALL CHRISTMAS PARTY 2025

WE URGENTLY NEED YOUR HELP!

The volunteers who have been keeping our grass mown and looking great for a number of years are no longer able to do it.

So, we are asking for new volunteers to help.

It takes less than 1 hour to mow our section of grass at the hall.

The more people who can help, the better we can share the number of times you get to have  the fun of running around on your ride on.

All you need is a ride on mower and a trailer to get it there.

We can reimburse for cost of fuel.

WHAT WE NEED IS YOU AND YOUR MOWER!!

Please help us to keep the hall looking good for everyone to enjoy.

Contact Laura Johns, Secretary on 0438 277 774 or send us an email or contact us through our Facebook page to let us know you can help.

THANK YOU

CURRA GARDEN GROUP CURRA GREEN THUMBS

CURRA GARDEN GROUP CURRA GREEN THUMBS

CURRA GARDEN GROUP CURRA GREEN THUMBS

The group met in October at Cal’s place. Her garden is a combination of natives and an orchard in back, with an English Country Garden theme of massed flowers at the front. As usual, it was good to walk around, learn about different plants and get growing tips from Cal. A lovely spread of afternoon tea was enjoyed and everyone took home something to add to their garden.

The November meeting was  enjoyed as a Christmas lunch at the Gympie Golf Club. Great food and good company. A great way to get together before we close over the Christmas period. The group will break for the holiday season and hot weather and resume in February at Laura’s garden in Hidden Place, Curra. Her garden has a stand of mature eucalypt forest with some gardens and shrubs.

The February meeting is actually in March!  Sunday 1st March at 9am to beat the hottest  part of the day. All interested gardeners are invited and new people are very welcome.  No special skills needed, just an interest in gardening. Please bring a chair, a plate to share for smoko and something from your garden to swap. Look forward to seeing you then.
