Wow! What a fantastic day. Thank you Curra for supporting us and coming along. About 150 people attended and judging by the smiles all round, everyone had a great day.
Plenty of food, drinks, games, races , Tai Chi and Tae Kwon do demonstrations, a Mega Raffle with more than 15 prizes all beautifully presented and great value. Then to top off the afternoon Santa dropped by and gave out gift packets to all the children.
Thank you to all our generous sponsors who donated the raffle prizes.
Thank you to all the volunteers who worked non-stop all afternoon to keep everyone happy and well fed.
A big thank you to all the people who pitched in and helped us tidy up at the end of the day. You make our job easier and it makes our efforts worthwhile.

WE HAVE A NEW PLAY GROUP
AT THE HALL AND IT IS GREAT TO FINALLY OFFER AN ACTIVITY FOR OUR YOUNGER CURRA FAMILIES.
The Play Group will meet once a month and it is hoped it will grow to meet more often in the new year.
A gold coin donation (optional) is requested to assist with materials purchased for the Play Group.
The next gathering is Wednesday 27th November, so come along, bring your toddlers and kids and meet some new mums. There are interesting activities for the mums as well as the kids, so it is an opportunity to socialise, learn new skills while the children get to make new friends and learn social skills too.

Our hall is growing in popularity as a venue for a wide variety of private functions. Weddings, Birthday Parties, Baby Showers and Conferences are the most common, but it is not limited to those functions. .
The hall is a lovely, modern, well equipped venue and more information is available on the 'Facilities' tab of this website.
If you are interested in hiring the hall for your private function, check the 'Bookings' tab to see what dates are presently booked and what is available.

Sunday 27 October from 12:00 to 2:30pm.
We met at Olga's place and it was very informative. Olga is right in to growing your own food and she had prepared a great range of edible foods for us to try and to learn how to grow and use them.
(I really only go for the food which is always yummy!)
And there were plenty of plants to take away to fill up spaces in our gardens.
Next meeting is last Sunday in November the 24th.

About Us
The Curra Community Hall is managed by the Curra Community Hall Management Committee Inc. (CCHMC)
CCHMC was founded in 2019, by members of the original reference group set up in the first years of operation in conjunction with Gympie Regional Council.
CCHMC was granted approval by council in March 2019 to take over the management of the hall from July 2019.
CCHMC founding members are Allison Britton, Doug McLean, Lee Hodgson, Margaret O'Keefe, Wayne Pina - Roozemond.
Objectives of the CCHMC inc
- To Provide an inviting, accessible and safe community facility as a focal point for all residents and groups to meet.
- To competently administer the hall to operate efficiently and ensure financial and community accountability.
- To attract user groups and resources to the hall through awareness, fund raising, applying for grants and seeking sponsorship.
- To establish a thriving, dynamic community hall that encourages the active involvement of all residents and user groups.
About the Hall
The Curra Community Hall was built in 2017, designed by award winning Architects BARK Design..
The Hall is a great addition to the community of Curra and surrounding areas, it has a contemporary modern design like no other hall in the Gympie Region.
The hall is available for hire for all types of events, and regular bookings.
