The Hall Committee is responsible for the maintenance and management of the Hall. To do this we need income, which comes from hall bookings, special events and fundraising activities. Help from Volunteers is essential for the committee to be able to do its work.
IGA have a swipe tag system where shoppers swipe a tag when they pay at the checkout and 1 cent in every $ spent is donated to the organization concerned. The Curra Hall Community joined this scheme and it is an opportunity for some additional income to support the hall.
Tags are available at the hall, so pick one up next time you are there and go shopping at IGA. Every little bit helps.

This is a big help to our finances. We need 2 teams of 3-4 people to operate the stall and it runs from 7a.m. to 3p.m. With 2 teams on the day, it reduces the amount of time everyone spends on duty.
Previous experience is not needed. Bunnings provide a 1 hour induction session one evening a month (it is all basic common sense). This is not compulsory, however there must be at least one person who has done the induction as part of each team. So it helps us to have a reserve of people who have done the induction.
We have a lot of fun on the day, so give us a call or email and add your name to our list of willing volunteers and if you could come to one of Bunnings' induction sessions as well, that would be an even greater bonus.
And a BIG THANKS to those generous people who said "Keep the change as a donation". The world hasn't gone to pot! There are still lovely people out there.
