CURRENT FUNDRAISING ACTIVITIES

Hall Committee

The Hall Committee is responsible for the maintenance and management of the Hall. To do this we need income, which comes from hall bookings, special events and fundraising activities.   Help from Volunteers is essential for the committee to be able to do its work.

Bunnings Sausage Sizzle

SAUSAGE SIZZLE - SUNDAY 17th AUGUST -   The day started slowly, we sold nothing until 8.45am.  Not looking good, then it got busy .  It only takes a few people to buy 3 or 4 sausages and you have sold everything you have cooked.   We were flat out keeping up to demand.  By finish time we were a bit shattered but with one of our best days it was  well worth the effort.

NEXT SAUSAGE SIZLE - to be confirmed - Come and support us, buy a sausage, or better still become a helper on the day.

Join our band of willing helpers and become a sausage sizzle volunteer.  We could really do with a few more people rather than having to rely on the same small group all the time.   Contact Laura Johns on 0438 277 774 to add your name to the list.  It's fun!!

Sausage sizzles are a big help to our finances.  We need 2 teams of 3-4 people to operate the stall and it runs from 7a.m. to 3p.m.  A morning shift and an afternoon shift.  With 2 teams on the day, it reduces the amount of time  you have to spend there.  Generally only a couple of hours.

Previous experience is not needed.  Bunnings provide a 1 hour induction session one evening a month (it is all basic common sense). This is not compulsory, however there must be at least one person who has done the induction as part of each team.   So it helps us to have a reserve of people who have done the induction.

We have a lot of fun on the day, so give us a call or email and add your name to our list of willing volunteers and if you could come to one of Bunnings' induction sessions as well, that would be an even greater bonus.

And a BIG THANKS to those generous people who said "Keep the change as a donation", or pay it forward.  The world hasn't gone to pot! There are still lovely people out there.
