The Hall Committee is responsible for the maintenance and management of the Hall. To do this we need income, which comes from hall bookings, special events and fundraising activities. Help from Volunteers is essential for the committee to be able to do its work.
SAUSAGE SIZZLE - NEXT SAUSAGE SIZZLE - SUNDAY 1st FEBRUARY - Come and support us, buy a sausage, or better still become a helper on the day.
We really need additional volunteers to help with our sausage sizzles. Please contact Laura Johns on 0438 277 774 if you would like to become involved. Your contribution would make a big difference to what we can do at the hall.
Sausage sizzles are a big help to our finances. We need 2 teams of 3-4 people to operate the stall and it runs from 7.15a.m. to 3.30p.m. A morning shift and an afternoon shift. With 2 teams on the day, it reduces the amount of time everybody has to spend there. Generally only a couple of hours.
Previous experience is not needed. Bunnings provide a 1 hour induction session one evening a month (it is all basic common sense). This is not compulsory, however there must be at least one person who has done the induction as part of each team. So it helps us to have a reserve of people who have done the induction.
We have a lot of fun on the day, so give us a call or email and add your name to our list of happy helpers and if you could come to one of Bunnings' induction sessions as well, that would be an even greater bonus.
And a BIG THANKS to those generous people who said "Keep the change as a donation", or pay it forward. The world hasn't gone to pot! There are still lovely people out there.
