WE REALLY NEED YOU.
Get involved in some of the things we do for the Curra Community and keep the hall in good order for the community’s use.
When we have large events like the Poet’s Breakfast, Christmas Party, a Movie Night or an Art Festival, additional help is always needed. The jobs vary depending on the event. Set up, clean up, help with a sausage sizzle, wait tables, sell raffle tickets etc.
The Management Committee publish a Community Newsletter every quarter. Tony Perrett, our local State MP prints 1,000 copies for us. This is delivered by way of a letter box drop to all households in the Curra region. If we have more help we can reduce the size of the numerous delivery runs. At present it takes about an hour out of your time once every 3 months. GIVE A COMMITTEE MEMBER A CALL TO LET US KNOW YOU ARE INTERESTED IN HELPING OUT. We have recently lost a couple of volunteers due to ill health, so we really could do with a couple of extras.
The Management Committee is responsible for maintaining the lawns and gardens around the hall. It is important that the hall looks welcoming and well cared for to everyone who sees it. We need additional volunteers to assist on a mowing roster to keep the grass down. It only takes about 45 minutes to run around on your ride-on and the more people on the roster, the number of times you need to mow is reduced.
Some of the people who used to help are no longer available, so we really need a couple of extras.
PLEASE CALL LAURA JOHNS ON 0438 277 774 TO PUT YOUR NAME ON THE LIST.
